Krishna Janmashtami

Since it marks the birth of Lord Krishna, this day is highly significant for Krishna Bhakti followers and is widely celebrated by Hindus globally. In Pokhara, the observance differs from other regions but is marked by vibrant enthusiasm. Devotees of Om Shanti perform roadside modernizations featuring Lord Krishna, Radha, and other deities. They dance and sing energetically while parading through the streets, pausing periodically to continue their performances. Throughout the night, they join others involved in religious festivities, singing and dancing their way through Pokhara’s streets.
