The Barahi Temple, located in the center of Fewa Lake in Nepal, is a well-known temple dedicated to Goddess Varahi. Accessible only by boat, this small island temple symbolizes Ajima, the feminine force, and attracts many tourists and pilgrims. Built in the traditional pagoda style with brick, stone, and wood, the temple is large enough to host many worshipers. It is the only temple in Nepal completely submerged in a lake with no land access. Daily Puja rituals are conducted by a priest, and it is believed that gaining the favor of Goddess Barahi helps one achieve their goals. Besides being a pilgrimage site, the Tal Barahi Temple is also a retreat for history and nature enthusiasts.
